Dirty cars promote health problems
Published: June 20, 2020
A recently conducted health study has revealed that dirty cars can contribute to increased health problems in warm seasons. According to www.telegraph.co.uk, people who eat in their cars should make a point to clean up the car and to see that they do not leave behind any debris of food crumbs. These food crumbs become the breeding haven for the bacteria called Staphylococcus and Bacillus cereus. The study also mentioned that these bacteria are responsible for promoting health problems like vomiting, food poisoning and skin infections. The study was conducted by a panel of researchers at the Aston University.
As reported by www.themedguru.com, Staphylococcal bacteria are highly contagious which means that it can be transmitted from one person to another. During the study researchers studied the swabs taken from random parts of the car like steering wheel, door handles and gear-stick. The report also hinted at the aggravation of health problems among people who allowed pets in the cars. “People would be horrified at the prospect of eating from a toilet seat; however they ought to be aware that eating from a contaminated dashboard may represent the same health hazards.” concluded Anthony Hilton, one of the researchers.
