Carey Mulligan has a new man in her life

An Education star Carey Mulligan has had a string or whirlwind relationships since splitting from her long-term boyfriend Shia LaBoeuf last October, and now British lead singer Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons is the latest man to have caught her fancy.

The pair, who became romantically involved last month when they met in Nashvillee, Tennessee, has hoppped on to a plane and left New York for a while to spend time with him in the UK.

Speaking of the early sparks between Carey and Marcus, 24, the Daily Mail quotes a source as saying: “Marcus invited Carey to watch him play a secret show in the basement of his friend Mike Harris’s home in Nashville. She sat in the front row and while he was singing Marcus looked down at Carey and she blushed. It was clear they had chemistry.

“Afterwards they went to the City House restaurant and dined with friends but they sat together and acted like a couple.

“Carey’s hoping they can spend more time together when Marcus flies back to America next month for a major tour with his band. He’s hired a vintage train instead of a tour bus and has asked Carey to join him for the trip. It’s early days but they seem to enjoy each other’s company.”

Fans can look forward to seeing the star on the big screen soon alongisde Keira Knightley in Never Let Me Go, an adaptation of Kazuo Ishigiro’s novel.
