Hollywood actor Kevin Costner is a star who has already passed his heyday. After enjoying superstardom in the 1980s and especially 1990s, with movies like ‘The Body Guard’, ‘JFK’ and ‘Dances With Wolves’, his career slowed down after 2000. Since then Costner and the movies he’s starred in have only celebrated relative success.
Since marrying his wife Christine, however, he has followed another passion of his: music. He founded his country band Kevin Costner and Modern West, and has since been touring, while also acting.
Costner reportedly so afraid his children could catch the swine flu, that he will not them travel. Currently touring through Germany and Europe with his band Kevin Costner and Modern West, he says he misses his six children, but doesn’t want to let them travel with him. According to BANG Showbiz, Costner said:
“It is unusual that my family is not there, because they usually are always there.
“But I have been worried about swine flu, and didn’t want my small children with me this time on this trip.”
The swine influenza , declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), is a flu that spread quickly across the globe in 2009. Originating in Mexico, it has killed over 3,000 people worldwide, with most of the deaths occurring in Latin America.
