Mary-Kate Olsen entered rehab for an eating disorder

In 2004, Mary-Kate Olsen was checked into Cirque Lodge by her father and became the youngest entrant. Born in 1986, Mary-Kate Olsen is a celebrated American Actress, fashion model and producer of many renowned sitcoms. She began her career at the age of nine-months along with her twin sister, Ashley, in a television series called ‘Full House’.
The twins continued their success by featuring in various moviesincluding ‘The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley’. Mary-Kate and Ashley also made their mark in the fashion world by launching their clothing line in Wal-Mart. Mary-Kate Olsen’s popular performances include ‘Factory Girl’, ‘Weeds’, ‘Samantha Who?’.
This success stint did not last long and witnessed a setback and at the young age of 18, when Mary-Kate Olsen fell victim to the eating disorder known as anorexia nervosa. Initially it was rumoured that Kate was suffering from drug abuse but reports denied this fact. Mary-Kate Olsen was admitted to the Cirque Lodge for the 30-day long treatment program and attended five meetings per day to address the emotional, physical, nutritional and social components of her life. Mary-Kate, during her stay at the Lodge, learnt the art of living and completely transformed herself into a healthy person once again. She battled her addiction with a brave heart, while the Cirque Lodge helped her recover and emerge as a role model for other troubled individuals.
