More than often glasses or uncomfortable contact lenses have come to the rescue but now with Lasik eye surgery, unclear vision is a thing of the past. Lasik surgery is all about reshaping the cornea through laser to correct major visionary impairments including myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia. Statistically seen, between 92 and 98 percent of Lasik eye surgeries are successful and allow you to enjoy proper vision for the rest of your life. Many celebrities with vision problems like nearsightedness or farsightedness have undergone Lasik eye surgery including Nicole Kidman, Elton John, Tiger Woods and Cindy Crawford.
Celebrities and looks go hand in hand because their image drives their career and success. Nicole Kidman owes a glasses-free existence to Lasik surgery for her dazzling looks. Though she suffered from nearsightedness, Nicole never preferred to wear glasses. The cover girl of Marie Claire in 2007, she said the interview: “I never wore glasses except when I had to read a teleprompter at an awards show or drive, so I didn’t notice much, I could exist in my head.”
After undergoing Lasik surgery, Nicole is really excited and is enjoying her life without having to wear ugly looking glasses. Before Nicole’s operation, she was quiet nervous about the results of Lasik surgery and admitting this worry, Kidman said, “I had a bit of anxiety – it’s terrifying”.
This surgery changed her life for good with correct sight that will stay perfect for the rest of her life.
Expressing her happiness on a changed life and corrected vision, Nicole Kidman said: “I was walking around legally blind. Now I have 20-20 vision. I can’t believe I spent so many years blurry, but I think that coincides with how I was feeling. Now I notice if people are watching me, but I also smile right back if someone waves, which helps.”
This amazingly beautiful actress now has every reason to smile and feel happy about with Lasik eye surgery that changed Nicole as a person both personally and professionally.
