Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are not romantically involved

Reports surfacing today suggesting that Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are involved in a romantic relationship seem wide of the mark. Both actors had a difficult time of it last year when their respective marriages collapsed, but suggestions they have become more than just friends are - according to Bullock’s representative - flights of fancy.
The pair appeared together in The Proposal and became good friends as a result. Bullock and Reynolds spent New Year’s Eve together which has caused some websites to assume they’re dating, and are even trying to draw up similarities between Reynolds and Bullocks ex-husband Jesse James in a bid to make the story fit.
Sandra Bullock’s publicist made it very clear that the actress’ New Year’s Eve ‘date’ with Ryan Reynolds was purely platonic and the stars enjoyed an evening with a group of old friends.
The Proposal co-stars, whose respective marriages ended last year saw the New Year in together, along with a few friends at Sandra Bullock’s Bess Bistro restaurant in Texas.
Internet gossip sites tried to marry off Reynolds and Bullock after he and Scarlett Johansson separated on December 10th, 2010, and their New Year celebrations have only fuelled the rumour mongers story spinning even further.
But Bullock’s representative has rapidly intercepted the stories now circulating by explaining the situation in order to dispel any falsities, “A group of old friends that included Ryan and Sandra spent New Year’s together at Sandra’s restaurant Bess Bistro.
“They all had a great time ringing in the New Year as they have in the past, as nothing more than friends”.
Bullock left Jesse James last March after he admitted to s string of affairs, while Reynolds and Johannson called time on their two-year marriage in December.
