Eminem says he is not homophobic

In an interview on TV show 60 Minutes Anderson Cooper probed Eminem about his songs, which are scattered with homophobic words like “f*g and “lez”.
For years Eminem has been considered by many to be a homophobe, but when Cooper asked him why he used these offensive words in his lyrics, the rapper responded: “The scene that I came up in, that word was thrown around so much, you know? F****t was, like, it was thrown around constantly, to each other, like in battling, you know what I mean?”
Cooper then asked the rapper if he didn’t like gay people, to which he replied: “No, I don’t have any problem with nobody, you know what I mean. Like, I’m just whatever.” After this somewhat non-answer, he went on to add: “I’m a parent; I have daughters. I mean, how would I really sound as a person like walking around my house [saying] ‘B****, pick this up.’
“Profanity around my house, no. I don’t cuss.
“I’m not saying there’s not glimpses of me in the music, [that] there’s not truth in things that I say, but this is music, this is my art.”
Eminem said he feels “singled out” for criticism due to being a white rapper. Other rappers “do and say the same things that I’m saying. And I don’t hear no one saying anything about that. I didn’t just invent saying offensive things.”
Did you watch the interview and if so, did you think Cooper was being to easy on the rapper? Some of you may have come across the bumper sticker with the quote “homophobia is a social disease” - what are your thoughts about this?

its not him being a homophobe thats the problem, its him being a gross misogynist. why does no one address that?
