Henry Gibson dead at 73

The man who managed to steadily hold a career in Hollywood over 40 years died on September 14, 2009. The Huffington Post reports the actor’s son said he passed away at his Malibu, California, home after a short battle with cancer.
Henry Gibson, born James Bateman, broke into the show business scene with a regular spot as a funny poet on TV’s ‘Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In’ in the late 1960s. He has acted in many movies, ranging from 1963’s ‘The Nutty Professor’ to ‘Wedding Crashers’ from 2005. Most recently he had a regular spot on TV show ‘Boston Legal’, in which he played a crabby judge up until 2008.
Another ‘Boston Legal’ star recently lost his life, namely Justin Mentell, who was killed in a car crash on February 1, 2010.
Other celebrities who died surprisingly in the last year include Stephen Gately, Casey Johnson, Adam Goldstein, Brittany Murphy and Michael Jackson.
