Jett Travolta died of a seizure
Published: July 04, 2020
Jett Travolta was the eldest child and only son of Hollywood actors John Travolta and Kelly Preston. The 16-year-old had a history of illness. As a child, he was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease – also known as lymph node syndrome – suffered from seizures and was rumoured to be autistic, according to The Times.
Preston had previously blamed household cleaners and fertilizers for Jett’s illness, the news provider added, and said that his health had been improved by a detox program devised by the Church of Scientology, to which both herself and her husband belong.
Although Jett’s seizures were reportedly frequent and he was therefore never left alone, his death came as a huge shock. The accident happened while the family were on vacation in the Bahamas in early 2009. The youngster had apparently suffered a fatal blow to the head while in the bath and was found by a nanny early the next morning. An autopsy concluded that his death was caused by a seizure, the Huffington Post reports.
John Travolta was extremely close to his son and had great trouble accepting his demise, the family’s lawyer Mike Ossi told People magazine.
“He didn’t want anything to happen to that boy, and he kept on trying to revive him,” He did mouth-to-mouth until they had to physically remove John to take Jett to the hospital.”
Travolta had previously told the magazine: “I can’t imagine what life would be like without Jett…After he was born and cleaned up, I held him for hours while Kelly slept. When they came to take him away for various tests, I said, ‘No, you can’t see him today. You’ll have to do it another day.’ I went a little nutsy.”
In a statement released shortly after Jett’s death, the Travoltas expressed their thanks to those who had sent their love and condolences, adding:
“Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives.”
Kelly Preston and John Travolta also have a daughter, 10-year-old Ella, and in May 2010 announced that they are expecting their third child.

My God people, have some compassion. Do you know how complex it is to have a child with autism and epilepsy: It’s maddening. What works for one child, won’t work for another, and the drugs are often toxic, or at worst, they aren’t even the same drugs given each time you pick them up, they may even have different ingredients in them! Thanks pharmacological people! Thanks for your reckless disregard for our children you heartless greedy bastards! For example, ONE batch can have more of the drug than the next batch. Then, another batch may have some ingredient that makes our children sick or increases seizures! Oh, if the public only knew
