Moderate exercise during pregnancy helps baby stay fit

A recent study has revealed that moderate exercise during the time of pregnancy helps the child stay fit later in life by controlling the weight of the child while it is still in womb. The study has been conducted by the researcher from the U.S. and New Zealand. According to www.news.bbc.co.uk, obese or overweight women have more chances to bear overweight babies and could also pose risk of several health problems in life.

As per www.thebabywebsite.com, the team of researchers conducted the study on about 84 women who were bearing the child for the first time. Half the number of women was given exercising machines and was told to workout for about 40 minutes daily for 5 days a week. The study revealed that the metabolism of the child is very well affected by the environment that the child gets inside the womb of the mother.

Apparently, the babies who have more weight in respect to their length are more likely to become obese later in life.”Given that large birth size is associated with increased risk of obesity, a modest reduction in birth weight may have long-term health benefits for offspring by lowering this risk later in life.” said Dr Paul Hofman, prime researcher of the study.

    Exercise during pregnancy make a woman prepare for her delivery. It can make her body fitt and stronger. But don,t forget co consult to your doctor before doing your exercise during pregnancy.
