Christina Ricci’s promise to quit smoking
Published: January 12, 2021
Teenagers who smoke rarely consider the long-term consequences to their health, and they are oblivious to how they are damaging their bodies. Christina Ricci, an American actress who first achieved fame for her role as Wednesday Addams in ‘The Addams Family’ (1991). She has since starred in movies like ‘Sleepy Hollow’, ‘Monster’ and ‘Speed Racer’.
29-year-old Ricci started smoking very early at the age of 13 and very well understood the harmful effects it had as a teenager. She was even embarrassed to smoke in front of children. But she excused herself from the guilt by indicating herself as teenager.
According to smokingsides.com, which lists celebrity smokers, Christina Ricci was quoted as saying: “I’ll be smoking, and a woman will bring up her little kids and say ‘they look up to you so much,’ and I feel bad. I consider myself such a mess, and my life is not something people should want for themselves. But, I feel no responsibility. I feel badly smoking around little kids because they probably shouldn’t. But I am a teen-ager. I am still allowed a couple years of being bad to myself.”
She was also quoted as saying, ”My favorite thing about living in New York is getting into a cab at 8am, rolling down the window and having that first cigarette.”
According to scenesmoking.com, Ricci reportedly said she would end her habit when she grew up. She confessed: “I still enjoy smoking just because I’m a teenage smoker. I am gonna give up once I stop being a teenager. I know it won’t be easy to give up but it’s just a phase. I wasn’t born a smoker’”
According to unconfirmed reports, she still smokes. Her fans now hope that career considerations aside, casually fashionable Christina will drop the nasty habit.
Celebrities who successfully kicked the habit include Ewan McGregor, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston and Gisele Bundchen.

Sounds like she actually enjoyed smoking quite a bit. Like me. One of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do and I’ve failed a bunch of times. Trying hypnosis next.
