Trouble magnet Lindsay Lohan accused of stealing jewelry
Published: February 02, 2021
Is there going to be another mug shot of the freckle-faced star splashed across the tabloids again?
Just as things were starting to look up for trouble magnet Lindsay Lohan, it looks like she’s gone and landed herself in yet another punishable situation. The dirty deed this time round? Apparently an expensive necklace caught her eye and she couldn’t resist making a swift exist from the jewelery store, knicked bling in tow.
The owner of a Venice, California jewelry store filed a police report last week, when a ”one of a kind” necklace that Lindsay was trying on in the store went missing. ”Lindsay has been photographed and there is a video of her wearing the jewelry she is accused of stealing,” a law enforcement source told RadarOnline.
Police were about to obtain a warrant to search the 24-year-old’s house, but before they could the sparkly accessory was returned, according to an LAPD statement.
Despite a friend of the actress handing in the stolen item, TMZ reports that she has voiced her disapproval at the store owner, calling them “nuts” for filing a police report.
“It’s bull****. I don’t have any necklace,” the sneaky-handed actress apparently told friends.
It remains to be seen whether the owner will press charges, but the fresh-out-of-jail-and-rehab star is really pushing her luck with this last stint. And it’s not the first time Lindsay has been accused of theft — is kleptomania another disorder to add to her list of troubles?
In 2009, although no charges were brought against her, Lindsay was the subject of speculation when jewels to the value of about $500,000 went missing during a cover photo shoot for Elle magazine. Add to that the time she was accused of stealing a mink coat to the value of $12,000, the disappearance of a $35,000 Rolex.
