Amy Winehouse’s recent collapse has not stopped her

It seems Amy Winehouse has made a speedy recovery following her collapse from exhaustion before the new year. The singer had reportedly suffered a mild nervous breakdown following an incident earlier in the month.
Winehouse was arrested after lashing out at a theatre manager during a pantomime performance of “Cinderella“ and is due to appear in court on January 20th, according to The Mirror. A source told the news provider after the collapse that “(Amy) has been feeling very ill of late and had a funny turn at home. She is quite unwell and exhausted after recent events but is soldiering on“.
A doctor was called to the 26-year-old’s London home around the Christmas period and her music is said to have been put on the “back burner“ for the moment, the source added, until the star is fully recovered.
However, although poor Amy is too frail to invest energy into her music, she is certainly not too exhausted for a spot of shopping. A spree even, some may say. Her visits to designer lingerie stores to show off her alleged new boob job have certainly not gone unnoticed. Dad Mitch has once again expressed concerns over his daughter’s addictive personality:
“She’s not out the woods yet. She’s a recovering addict and other problems have developed…Shopping is a problem. She’ll go into Agent Provocateur and spend £3000 on underwear in one go,“ DailyRecord.co.uk reported.
Mr Winehouse also talked about Amy’s continuing addiction to the gym: “She works out three to four hours a day running and in the gym,“ according to the news site.
Despite everything, it seems to be general concensus that the wild child singer has remained clean from drugs and excessive amounts of alcohol. Mitch added: “Amy quit the drugs in her own way. In 2008, she said to me, ‘Dad, I don’t want to do this any more.’ And she hasn’t. I’m more proud of her for that than for her music - she’s done it all herself.“
The only thing on everyone’s mind now is, will Amy Winehouse get back to together with ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil. Her father, for one, hopes that will never happen: “Their relationship was a disaster. It was destructive and they’re lucky one of them didn’t die. Two addicts can’t be in a relationship.“
