Amy Winehouse died in bed with no drugs in sight

Amy Winehouse was found dead in her bed with no sign of paraphernalia or drugs nearby. A police source told People that the authorities searched the star’s London home and found nothing.
It was also revealed that Winehouse may have been dead for up to six hours before she was found by a security guard at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Rigor mortis had already set it, suggesting she had been dead for several hours. The troubled singer had been in touch with her security team at 10 a.m., saying she was going to sleep.
There were no drugs found near Amy Winehouse's body
Another source said Winehouse had been to see a doctor on Friday night as part of a routine check-up, due to her ongoing battle with drug addiction, and was given the all-clear. It also emerged that she was strong enough to play her drum kit that same night so loud that the neighbours complained.
Her cause of death remains undetermined and a toxicology report may take weeks to complete.
Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch said the family was ”devastated and speechless”. The former cabbie made an appearance at the star’s home today to thank well-wishers.
“Amy was about one thing, and that was love. Her whole life was devoted to her family and her friends, and to you guys as well,” he said.
The singer’s friend and PR man Chris Goodman said she had suffered setbacks in recent weeks in her battle against addiction: ”She was on the mend but she lapsed over the past month. Her death has come as a great shock. She was a fantastic talent and a sweet girl,” he said.
