Tiger Woods’ mistress says love addiction a real disease

Published: November 29, 2020

Tiger Woods’ first known mistress Rachel Uchitel has opened up about her three-week rehab session, confessing that she is a “love addict”.

The 35 year old’s fiance Andy died in the Twin Towers on 9 / 11 and since then her love life has been in shambles. In a previous interview with the Daily Mail, Uchitel said: “Since I lost Andy, I have always been looking for the perfect man. I wanted a man who would marry me, give me the house and children I long for. I plunged headfirst into relationships which I should have never been in.”

We all know that one such relationship was the affair she had with then married and serial womanizer Tiger Woods. Another married man she has admitted to be romantically involved with is Bones star David Boreanaz. She has revealed now, in an interview with RadarOnline, that her past relationships were what pushed her to seek help. And she received that help during a three-week stint on the popular TV show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.

She no doubt also received a nice paycheck for taking part in the hit show, just as she reportedly received a $10 million confidentiality settlement from Tiger Woods, despite previously saying that she “never needed any man’s money.” She certainly knew how to blackmail him.

Uchitel, who insists that she will never sleep with a married man again, said of her love addiction:”It is the most common addiction in the world, yet it is also the addiction most commonly pushed under the rug because people don’t believe it exists.”

“People think it is a moral issue if somebody falls in love, all over the place.

“It is not, it is a disease and disorder; it is where you feel like you have a hole in your heart and you are waiting for a knight in shining armor to come and save you.

“But it is not an excuse for anyone’s behavior.

“You get stuck in relationships that are not right for you; you basically put a mask over somebody’s head and pretend they’re somebody theyre not.”

Well, Tiger Woods certainy wasn’t her knight in shining armor.

Accoring to Uchitel, the treatment she received on Celebrity rehab left her a changed woman. Let’s see what the headlines have to say about that…

Celebrity Rehab will premiere on Wednesday at 10pm on VH1.
