Britney Spears: My boyfriend beat me up

Britney Spears has allegedly admitted to her ex-husband that she was beaten up by her current boyfriend, Jason Trawick.

According to an article published in Star magazine, the troubled star talked candidly to her former husband Jason Alexander about her relationship with agent-turned-partner Jason Trawick, saying that he once hit her so hard, she got a black eye.

TMZ cited the mag, saying Alexander had secretly recorded the conversation when Britney called him up on October 10th.

“(Britney) told me that he hit her so hard it gave her a black eye,”  Alexander told Star. “She said she couldn’t even leave the house for a week because of the bruising,” adding that the singer had also admitted she was pregnant with Trawick’s child earlier in the year.

In the conversation, obtained by Radar Online, Alexander says: “I thought he proposed to you or something at the beach.” This is followed by an answer from a voice purported to be Britney’s: “Before or after he beat on me?”

The female in the clip also says: “That (bleep) is not my fiancé.”

At the time of the recording, the star insisted that they were not a romantic couple and that her father was so angry at Trawick that he had “a shotgun and [was] just waiting to use it,” the Huffington Post reports.

Britney’s marriage to Jason Alexander in 2004 lasted just 55 hours. According to reports, the pair had been on a night out in Las Vegas together, which ended at a walk-in wedding chapel. Despite the embarassment and consequent marriage annulment, Alexander claims to have remained close to the pop princess.

In the interview with Star, he states that going public was a way of exposing Trawick and calling out for help. He claims Britney had been bombarding him with texts, emails and phone calls detailing violent beatings at the hands of Trawick.

“Britney is in an abusive relationship,” the Huffington Post cites Alexander. “She told me her life had turned into a nightmare.”

Representatives of Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have denied the story, according to Radar Online.

This is not the first time Alexander has dished the dirt on his childhood sweetheart under the pretext that he was concerned for her well-being.

In 2007, Jason came forward to tell the world about Britney’s destructive drug habits, revealing that he had taken 2 pure MDMA capsules with the star, who nearly overdosed, a few days before they got married.

“She was sweating and overheating and her breathing was getting real slow. Other people were panicking,“ Hollywood Gossip cites him as saying in an interview with the Sunday Mirror. “But we got her out the back and up to the suite. I took her into the bathroom and threw her into the shower. She was unconscious. She tripped and fell. I was trying to hold her up and speak to her. She wasn’t moving.”

“I am really worried that she will wind up like Anna Nicole Smith and be found dead,” he added.
